The system formulation, containing one resin and three curing agents or hardeners contains a significant amount of renewable materials. Long before "green” was in vogue the System Three General Purpose Epoxy System contained as much as 30% plant derived materials and has never contained any volatile organic compounds (VOC).

Woodworking - System Three Resins

For over 35 years, G-2 has been an excellent epoxy adhesive choice for oily, acidic hardwoods like teak and other tropical woods. Use it for gluing oak and cedar, as well as other materials that are difficult to bond. G-2 was developed primarily for waterproof bonding of rot-resistant woods used in fine yacht joinery. Use G-2 for both interior and exterior applications as well as below the waterline. G-2 can be mixed in small or large batches, has a long pot life and cures overnight.

Marine - System Three Resins

In addition to wooden boat building, System Three is consistently used for applications like the repair of cracked concrete oil well linings in Alaska, lobster tank linings, pianos, guitars, and outside wooden signs and furniture. Resin and hardener are mixed in an easy 2:1 volume mixing ratio and may be mixed with fillers for better flow control and gap filling applications. Medium hardener refers to the speed at which the epoxy cures.

The General Purpose Epoxy System contains 30% plant derived material and has never contained any volatile organic compounds. When selecting a kit, consider both the minimum temperature during application and the desired working time that is appropriate for your application.
